北極特快車

亞倫席維史崔和阿甘正傳導演這對老搭配又再度交出了漂亮的成績單。席維史崔不只完成了優美的配樂，也交出了幾首動人的歌曲。

專輯前幾首為席維史崔的創作。由湯姆漢克斯親自下海演唱的The PolarExpress和Hot Chocolate是相當歡樂並帶有爵士調調的歌曲，很有佳節的氣氛。由北極特快車主題音樂變奏而來的When Christmas Comes To Town相當的好聽，而另外一首奧斯卡入圍歌曲Believe也還算不錯，只是這一首的旋律我聽得比較順耳的還是配樂的變奏部分。

Spirit of the Season是使用了既成的聖誕旋律加上電影配樂交織而成的曲目，還算動聽。

中間幾首則是既有的聖誕歌曲，不過專輯收錄的感覺不是很好聽。

至於配樂的部份，Seeing Is Believing是聖誕老人駕雪橇凌空飛起的音樂。Suite From the Polar Express是配樂的組曲，基本上這一首就已經值回票價了。至於其它電影中的音樂很可惜都沒有收錄。

其實當年看完電影馬上就去找原聲帶，遺憾的是好聽的音樂沒有在裡面，希望有機會能看到完整的配樂版本。
